Yayasan Kebajikan Negara, Malaysia (YKN) is a charitable fund administered by the Board of Trustees and under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development. YKN was incorporated on 5th December 1981 based on Y.A.B Prime Minister’s approval letter under the Trustee Ordinance (Incorporation) 1952 and was launched by D.Y.M.M SERI PADUKA BAGINDA YANG DIPERTUAN AGONG VII on the 6th April 1982. The YKN administration is regulated by the Trust Deed dated June 18, 1981.
Project Details :
Yayasan Kebajikan Negara has no fixed revenue resources. The main source of income depends on the contribution from individuals, corporations and governments, income from savings accounts in financial institutions and unit trusts, or through the implementation of fundraising programs organized by YKN or any collaboration.
YKN will be organizing fund-raising programs from time to time such as treasure hunt, charity golf, dinner and etc, as well as placing donation boxes at post offices, selected hotels, and banks such as AmBank and Public Bank, recreational clubs such as golf club, library, restaurant and Beethoven throughout Malaysia.
Goals (RM) :
Promoting the welfare and development of Malaysians especially the welfare of children and families. To achieve the goal, the Yayasan Kebajikan Negara has outlined some of its objectives as follow:
i. Help improve the standard of living of those in need through financial allocation and through various welfare, health, and education services.
ii. To encourage and emphasize in nurturing the welfare services of families and children.
iii. Encourage and assist the development of voluntary welfare organizations that strive to improve the life quality of Malaysians and in line with YKN directions.
iv. Spread information in the field of community welfare.
v. Organize seminars, conferences, and workshops related to community welfare for participants.
vi. Encourage and organize research in the field of community work.
